Summers Past - The showcase of photographs from the
National Archives of Australia vividly reminds us of Australians'
endurng love affair with the sea. For those who grew up in Australia in
the 1950s and 1960s, these photographs should gently stir memories of
idyllic summers spent at the beach. Pine Rivers Heritage Museum Old

- 9 & 10 October 2010 - October Orchid Show - Hosted by
the Bribie Island Orchid Society.
Entry is $4, which includes morning or afternoon tea. Entry is $3.50 for
groups of 10 or more. Open Saturday 9 October from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
and Sunday 10 October from 9.00 am to 2.30 pm. The show will be held in
the Student Centre, Bribie Island State High School, First Ave, Bribie
Island.
- 13 October (Wednesday) 2010 - The Heritage Talks: The Lang
Park Redevelopment - Hear how archaeologists unearthed the old
cemetery before the new Lang Park Stadium could be built at Milton.
