  • 22 January to 14 March 2010 - Women Transported: Life in Australia's Convict Female Factories - An exhibition from the Parramatta Heritage Centre revealing the stories and experiences of the many women who found themselves torn away from the lives they knew and thrown into an unfamiliar landscape in Australia. It includes rarely accessible objects from the early colony, art from significant colonial artists, and is drawn from national, state and regional public and private collections.   • 2 March (Tuesday) 2010 - Dr Seuss's Birthday - See BCL Books for Dr Seuss books and costumes
     
  • 2 March (Tuesday) 2010 - Business Clean Up Australia Day - A day where Australian businesses can help make a difference to the environment, and engage staff in a community based activity.
     
  • 5 March (Friday) 2010 - International Women's Day Debate - An annual debate presented by the Australian Institute of Management. The 2010 debate topic is "That Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office."
     
  • 6 & 7 March 2010 - HIV Education Course - This free course requires no prior knowledge of HIV and covers the history, transmission, prevention, cause, and treatment of HIV, as well as an examination of contemporary issues.   • 7 March (Sunday) 2010 - Clean Up Australia Day - Individuals and groups can register to clean up their local park, beach, bushland, and streets.

  • 10 March (Wednesday) 2010 - The Heritage Talks: Playing Football for the Cockroaches - Bill Kitson, curator of the Museum of Lands, Mapping and Surveying, tells the story of Queensland's stormy southern border.   • 11 March (Thursday) 2010 - Adoption Connections in Strathpine (pdf) - An opportunity for adoptees, birth parents, adoptive parents and other family members to find out more about search and reunion. Entry is $15 or $5 for concession. 4.45 pm to 8.00 pm at Mother Baby Hub, 429 Gympie Rd, Strathpine (behind Southern X-Ray). RSVP by 9 March.   • 11 to 13 March 2010 - World's Greatest Shave - Shave, colour or wax your hair and help the Leukemia Foundation provide services and fund research.
     
  • 13 to 21 March 2010 - Bike Week - Events hosted by Bicycle Queensland include a bicycle maintenance workshop, a women's ride and seminar, a sustainable transport seminar, cyclocross event, film night and more. Bike Week culminates with the:
    The Great Brisbane Bike Ride on Sunday 21 March - Participants can compete in the 30km or 45km rides, or 12km Goldcross Family Fun Ride. The rides start and finish at the South Bank Cultural Forecourt from 6.45 am. 
    Coot-tha Challenge  on Sunday 21 March - An annual 80km ride to Mt Coot-tha starting at 6.00 am at the Southbank Cultural Forecourt.
     
  • 15 to 21 March 2010 - A Taste of Harmony - Celebrating diversity at work by gathering colleagues together over a lunch made up of international foods, either at their workplace or at a participating restaurant.
     
  • 17 March (Wednesday) 2010 - St Patrick's Day - See Themes for Parties for St. Patrick's Day costumes, decorations and party ideas.
     
  • 17 March (Wednesday) 2010 - National Ride2School Day - Encouraging healthy lifestyles through increased physical activity. Events include healthy breakfasts, all-day cycling festivals, bike education, school parades and bike excursions.

  • 26 to 28 March 2010 - Dayboro Art Show - Paintings, drawings, sculptures and pottery, displayed in the Dayboro Community Hall. To enter, download the entry form(pdf) and submit by 11 March 2010.
