  • 23 May to 1 June 2008 - Pine Rivers Festival
     
  • 1 to 8 June 2008 - Queensland Week celebrates the State's people and places.  The week derives from the celebration of Queensland Day, held annually on 6 June to commemorate the day Queensland separated from the colony of New South Wales. Includes Suncorp Queenslander and Young Queenslander of the Year and Queensland Great Awards. Events will be held in all regions across the State.  For further information phone 07 3405 5215.  
     
  • 5 June (Thursday) 2008 - World Environment Day commemorated each year on 5 June, is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action.
     
  • 6 to 9 June 2008 - The Dreaming - Australia's International Indigenous Festival provides a comprehensive showcase of Indigenous arts from across the country and around the world. Includes performing arts, ceremony grounds, traditional healing, art galleries, and much more. Woodrow Road, Sunshine Coast hinterland.
     
  • 30 May to 9 June - Hays Inlet Week - celebrates the people, places and environment of the
  • Hays Inlet Catchment through a series of environmental, art, sport and social activities. Includes a Garden Competition and Photographic Competition.
     
  • 9 June (Monday) 2008 - Queen's Birthday (Public Holiday all states except WA)

  • 21 June (Saturday) 2008 - High School Musical Auditions for lead roles in the production to be presented by Brisbane Junior Theatre. 1:00-4:00pm at the Albany Hills Christian Church Performance Studios at 1 Coorparoo Rd off South Pine Road in Warner.   • 21 June (Saturday) 2008 - Book Fair -  Thousands of second-hand books for sale. Part of the proceeds go to Camp Quality's work with children living with cancer. To donate books phone 54968128, or donate on the day. 8am - 4pm,  Beachmere Uniting Church, cnr Moreton Tce & Second Ave Beachmere.
     
  • 22 June (Sunday) 2008 - Spectrum Recreation & Fitness Fun Run & Walk - A 2km and 8km Fun Run and Walk in the Lawnton area of Pine Rivers. Prizes to be won. Registration starts 6.45am to 7.45am.
