• 23 April to 1 August 2010 - Fun With Weights and Measures - From hogsheads to macaroni noodles, yards of beer to knitting needles, rods to roods, and pinches and pitches. The strange ways we have measured capacity, distance, weight, time, currency, temperature and quantity. Pine Rivers Heritage Museum Old Petrie Town Dayboro Road Whiteside.
   
• Throughout June, July, and August 2010 - MS Readathon - The annual readathon aims to encourage reading while raising awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis. Participants will read for 30 days at any time during the three month period. To take part in the challenge visit the website (see also No School Today: Fundraising Activities).
   
• 5 June (Saturday) 2010 - World Environment Day
   
• 6 June (Sunday) 2010 - Queensland Day & Queensland Week
   
• 9 June (Wednesday) 2010 - The Heritage Talks: The Makings of a Nutty Business - Catherine Chambers from the Department of Environment and Resource Management will speak about the beginnings of the macadamia industry - Moreton Bay's very own nut - while staff from Theo's Nursery will ask the question: "Can you successfully grow macadamias?" Free, morning tea included. Pine Rivers Heritage Museum Old Petrie Town Dayboro Road Whiteside.
   
• 11 to 14 June 2010 - The Dreaming Festival - Showcase of Indigenous arts from across the country and around the world. Includes performing arts, ceremony grounds, traditional healing, art galleries, and more at Woodford.
   
• 13 June (Sunday) 2010 - Beachside Bridge to Beach - Bribie Island will be hosting an 8km fun run along the shoreline on behalf of Cancer Council Queensland.
