- Throughout June, July, and August 2010 - MS Readathon
- The annual readathon aims to encourage reading while raising awareness
and funds for Multiple Sclerosis. Participants will read for 30 days at
any time during the three month period. To take part in the challenge

Fun With Weights and Measures - From hogsheads to
macaroni noodles, yards of beer to knitting needles, rods to roods,
and pinches and pitches. The strange ways we have measured capacity,

the Grass - The 2010 is the 10th Splendour in the
Grass, an annual alternative music and arts festival usually held in

Summers Past - The showcase of photographs from the
National Archives of Australia vividly reminds us of Australians'
endurng love affair with the sea. For those who grew up in Australia
in the 1950s and 1960s, these photographs should gently stir

- Annual, national event which raises community awareness about
hearing loss and ways to protect hearing.

Daffodil
Day - Support the Cancer Council Australia by buying a
bunch of daffodils or Daffodil Day merchandise, volunteering at a
merchandise stall, selling merchandise at your workplace or school, or making a
cash donation. All funds raised support cancer research, prevention

Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run - Including a 10km race, a 5km
walk, a wheelchair race and entertainment at the Ekka showgrounds. With all proceeds going to The
Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR) for skin cancer
research.
