• 26 March to 16 May 2010 - Dayboro: The First 100 Years - The Pine Rivers Heritage Musuem and the Dayboro Historical Society are working together to tell the story of the Dayboro area and community. Pine Rivers Heritage Museum Old Petrie Town Dayboro Road Whiteside.

• 1 April 2010 - Change Your Smoke Alarm Battery Day - Under Australian law, all owners of homes and units are required to install at least one 9V battery-operated smoke alarm designed to last a year or longer. This national awareness day aims to highlight the importance of general fire safety and the role smoke alarms play in house fires.
   
• 2 April (Friday) 2010 - Good Friday - Public Holiday.
   
• 2 April (Friday) 2010 - Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race - Hosted by Queensland Cruising Yacht Club on Good Friday every year.
     
• 2 April (Friday) 2010 - Redcliffe Festival of Sails - Watch the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race at the Festival of Sails. Art and craft stalls, sand sculpture and workshops, an Easter egg hunt and parachuting Easter bunny, rides and live music. 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on Suttons Beach, Marine Pde, Redcliffe.
   
• 2 & 3 April 2010 - Easter Orchid Show - Hosted by the Bribie Island Orchid Society. An opportunity for collectors and gardeners to see and purchase varieties of plants including the release of the special Dtps Bribie Q150 orchid. Orchid sales, fertilisers, clivias, bromeliads, carnivorous plants, floral art, light refreshments and more. Entry is $4, which includes morning or afternoon tea. Entry is $3.50 for groups of 10 or more. Open Friday 2 April from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm and Saturday 3 April from 9.00 am to 2.30 pm with presentation of awards at 2.30 pm on Saturday. The show will be held in the Student Centre, Bribie Island State High School, First Ave, Bribie Island.

• 14 April (Wednesday) 2010 - Stepping Up: A Regional Military History - Moreton Bay Regional Council local studies librarians Rod Pratt, Leith Barter and Pat Gee will discuss the region's involvement in military matters including the Queensland Mounted Infantry, the Boer War, Redcliffe Anzacs, and Camp Strathpine. Free morning tea provided. 10.00 am at the Pine Rivers Heritage Museum, Old Petrie Town, Dayboro Road, Whiteside.
   
• 16 April (Friday) 2010 - Craft Expo - Workshops, craft displays and demonstrations, scissor sharpening, a sausage sizzle, lucky door prizes, and more. In aid of Samaritans Purse for Children. 9.00 am to 3.00 pm at the Church of Christ Bongaree, Bribie Island.
   
• 18 April (Sunday) 2010 - Bonnie Babes - Four ring, all breeds champion cat and kitten show. Lions Hall, Lawnton Showground. Open to the public between 10am and 3pm.
   
• 21 April (Wednesday) 2010 - Secretary's Day - Visit the BCL Secretary's Day page for gift ideas.
   
• 23 April to 1 August 2010 - Fun With Weights and Measures - From hogsheads to macaroni noodles, yards of beer to knitting needles, rods to roods, and pinches and pitches. The strange ways we have measured capacity, distance, weight, time, currency, temperature and quantity. Pine Rivers Heritage Museum, Old Petrie Town, Dayboro Road, Whiteside.
   
• 25 April (Sunday) 2010 - Anzac Day
   
• 26 April (Monday) 2010 - Anzac Day Public Holiday  (see BCL School & public holidays)
   
• 29 April (Thursday) 2010 - Wish Day - An annual national event hosted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Help raise funds to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions by making a donation or holding a Wish Day fundraising event.
   
• 30 April (Friday) 2010 - Save the Frogs Day - Aims to raise awareness about the disappearance of frogs.
   
• 30 April to 3 May 2010 - Urban Country Music Festival Caboolture an action packed weekend with music, utes, horses, whips, bonfires and bush poets
   
• To be confirmed 2010 - Wish Day - Established in 1985, Make-A-Wish Australia is a not for profit organisation that grants wishes to children with a life-threatening medical condition. You can support this cause by either purchasing Make-A-Wish merchandise, donating, hosting a fundraising event or volunteering on the day.
   
• To be confirmed 2010 - Pink Bun - A national fundraiser with 100% of the profits being donated to the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
