Samford is your first port of call when you escape the bustle of Brisbane city into the rural Pine Rivers Hinterland. Stop for lunch in the park or try one of Samford's excellent restaurants. From Samford it's just a short drive up to the Mt Glorious rainforest, or north to Dayboro.

The council-run Family Day Care Scheme provides childcare for young children. Schools include the Samford State Primary School which caters for approximately 700 children from pre-school to Year 7 and the Samford Valley Steiner School.
