Local Government Reform Commission recommendations for this region are that Pine Rivers Shire Council, Redcliffe City Council and Caboolture Shire Council amalgamate to form an undivided Regional Council with 12 Councillors and a Mayor. The recommended name is to be North Moreton Regional Council.
